Catalina brings several improvements to the previous operating system macOS Mojave.

These include;

  • iTunes Scrapped and split into Music, TV, and Podcasts Get Separate Apps.
  • Dropping Support for 32-Bit Apps.
  • Use Your iPad as a Second Display.
  • Use Your Apple Pencil in macOS.
  • Run iPad Apps on Your Mac.
  • Screen Time Comes to the Mac.
  • Security Enhancements.
  • Approve macOS Actions on Apple Watch.
  • Old Apps Get an Overhaul (photos, Reminders, notes, safari, QuickTime player).
  • The New Find My App.
  • Voice Control for Mac and New Accessibility Options.
  • System Preferences Is More iOS-Like.

The easy way (step by step guide)

Ok, so let’s get on with the show, Upgrading to Catalina From Mojave.

If your using Mojave, then this guide is for you. Apple has made it so easy for Mojave users to upgrade. Heres How

First off. You’re going to need some time to wait while you upgrade because of Catalina size. The download is quite large. MOST Importantly MAKE SURE YOUVE MADE A BACKUP

Upgrading

  • Click "Apple Menu " >
  • Choose "System Preferences" >
  • Select "Software Update" >
  • Click "Upgrade Now" >
  • Wait for Download to Complete. >
  • When install is complete follow the on screen instructions.

Click the Apple Menu  in the top left corner.

Select System Preferences.

Now Click Software Update.

Time to Click Upgrade Now

When the install is complete follow the on-screen instructions.

After downloading macOS 10.15, Catalina has finished. The installer will begin on its own and launch automatically.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Upgrade and start using macOS Catalina.
When prompted by the Catalina installer. Select the internal hard drive.
