(uploads your data to iCloud)

This nifty little feature will save you so much time when going from device to device, if you have an iMac, Macbook and an iPad.

What it does, is simple, it takes a copy of your data and uploads a copy to your Apple iCloud.

Once your data Is fully uploaded the Apple iCloud, you can access it, as and when you need it.

Reducing the amount of space your computer uses on its hard disk

The plus to Store in iCloud: is if you have other Apple devices, that use the same iCloud. You can access, edit and change any of the documents from your other Apple devices whether it be your iMac, MacBook, iPad or iPhone.

What gets stored in the iCloud

• Desktop Files and Documents

• Photos from iPhoto (now photo)

• Messages and Call logs (from iMessage & Facetime)

  • TIP: Save space on your icloud by getting rid of unwanted junk before enabling.

The optimise storage button makes macOS on your Mac. Handle its storage more efficiently.

Its does this by recognising and controlling, what you need and what you don't need. For example;

Reduce Clutter

The reduce clutter part of storage management is probably the most significant space severer out of them all.

In reduce clutter, macOS helps you find and identify the most massive files that you might now need or use anymore.

Giving you the option to view these files in categories such as Applications, books, documents, iOS files (backups)

Then organise them by size or type, ensuring that you can see what's taking up the mosts free space on your hard disk.

  • TIP: Anything you think you might need later. Save on an external hard disk drive or USB device. Somethings you never know when they come in handy.
